Welcome
to Center for Children at Worship ~ Congregations in Bloom's New Web
Community! Our hope is to offer ideas for liturgies which are stimulating,
powerful, surprising, spiritually awakening, and above all inclusive.
When the ministry gifts of children and youth are recognized and honored,
communities will deepen in their love and service. Young people will
carry those same gifts into their schools, their homes, their work and
later, their vocations. In this way the fruit extends far outside the
walls of our churches.
Our
vision is that this web site will become a center for educators, designers
of worship, musicians, youth, and children, youth leaders, artists,
performers, builders, parents, story tellers and dreamers.

A
Question for Palm Sunday
|
|
We
are given an hour. I have an hour. You
have an hour.
What will we do with the hour we are given?
What gift? What service?
What truth will we tell?

WEEKLY
FEATURE Week
of April 2 - 8, 2001
Each week we will have a story, project, idea or inspirational message
to help you explore inclusive liturgy in your own faith community. This
is the season of Lent, a time of reflection and introspection.
PALM
SUNDAY PROCESSIONAL:
This
is a wonderfully simple piece, adapted from something which arrived
anonymously in Rev. Caroline Fairless' mail box. It is one you might
consider in those situations where the people do not gather outside
the doors of the sanctuary, but are already seated within.
Weekly Feature.

Artful
Thoughts
"I Want To Be"
I
want to be an astronaut,
said Louie.
I
want to be a ballarina,
said Joey.
What
silly things to want to be,
cries Sue.
When
you could work in a zoo!
Quiet
little Mina,
sitting in the corner,
Softy says,
I want to be a Dreamer.
