Our belief and observation is that the inclusion of children and youth as full participants in the regular worship life of a congregation is essential to the health of that community and brings with it a new perspective and a deepening spirituality for all. We believe that as children and youth begin to find their place in their church's worship, they will begin to take part in the decision making responsibilities not only of their churches, but will become more involved in their schools, their homes and their future jobs. With the adoption of the Children At Worship ~ Congregation in Bloom ideas, we believe that congregations will grow, transform and blossom beyond their wildest dreams.
Our goal is, in partnership with you and working within your particular circumstances, to help design weekly liturgies which call out the participation of each member of your community, no matter your age, through your common life of prayer and confession, story telling, art and music, and, where applicable, Holy Communion. Through this website and organization, our goal is to share our experience and our stories with you; teach and provide you with the tools to create vital and inclusive worship within your own community; and provide you with ongoing support and consultation when requested.

It is our hope and vision, that more and more congregations will adopt the ideas of including children & youth in their regular worship, whereby creating congregations and communities that prosper and bloom. As a result, we envision this site and organization growing and expanding to include the experiences and stories from congregations across denominations and across the borders of faith as they include their children in their worship services. We envision this organization and website to be one which creates the opportunity to share stories and struggles about these pursuits; a place to raise questions and issues, to report successes and failures, and essentially, to keep the work going. Plans for the Children @ Worship ~ Congregations At Bloom Resource Center include a quarterly newsletter, a clearing house for speakers and consultants and teachers; worship resources such as sermons and curricula; resources for art, drama and music which will assist in making our vision happen.
